Between 2009 and 2014 the Salvadoran Right
began to lose both its hegemony in the political field
and the absolute control it once had in the state institutions.
It’s thus no surprise its cries of “failed State” have been getting louder.
Convincing the national population and the international community
that El Salvador is a failed State seems to be its strategic ploy
to recover its lost power.
